A Radiator is a heat exchanger that transfers the heat from hot engine coolant to the air. Auto Radiators are generally made with aluminum and consist of tanks, tubes and fins. The tanks are points of entry and exit for coolant that is cooled inside of the inner tubes. The fins keep the fluid inside the tubes turbulent for more efficient cooling. Vehicle owners will traditionally replace 1 or 2 radiators throughout the lifetime of their vehicle. Radiators fail for a variety of reasons such as extreme climate and stress or pressure placed upon your cooling system.
