What is the difference between 1 and 2 core radiators (First and Second Row)

The "cores" also referred to as "rows" are an indication of how thick a radiator is.

Generally a 1 row radiator will measure 1 inch to 1-1/4 thick.  (Stock Radiators)

Generally 2 rows will measure 1-1/2 to 2 inches thick. (Tow Package Upgrades)

When comparing listings from our website, be sure to click the MORE INFO link or product info link on an item to view specifications from which you can compare your original.

To check how thick your original radiator is, you'll want to measure only the "core" material.  It is the middle of the unit (fins and tubes)
Do not measure the tanks (where the hoses connect)

Most stock radiators are 1 rows and most upgrades are 2 cores.  Sometimes you can upgrade for better cooling and other times you may be instructed that our listing fits ONLY the 1 row or 1 inch thick ONLY etc.  In those instances, purchase the item that matches what you are removing from the vehicle.
