Auto vs Manual Radiators Explained

NOTE: If the product does not mention specifically what it fits, that indicates that there is 1 model that fits both applications of auto and manual  (Yes if you have manual transmission and see 2 extra ports or lines, you ignore them and install.. you do have the right item!!!!)

When looking up your part, make sure to click on our "more info" link located underneath the product description. You will find pertinent information about all our radiator, heater core, condenser, and gas tank applications. Most of our listings will mention if the given application fits automatic and or manual. Very few aftermarket replacements are transmission specific. Only for certain racing or older vehicle applications will you commonly see A/T or M/T specific replacements offered. You do not need to make modifications to your vehicle or the unit itself to use a multi-fit construction. If the product does not mention specifically what it fits, that indicates that there is 1 model that fits both applications of auto and manual.  A TOC cooler is just a small metal pipe going from one connection to the other.  It is a closed system. (don't believe us?  Blow air into one hole.. feel it coming right out the other??)  You ignore and install, no need to plug!

See the illustration below.  Notice the description mentions (TOC).  This refers to the transmission oil cooler for automatic transmission.  If you see this in a listing with content such as YES or sizes then you have an automatic radiator in view.  Visually, you can see the 2 ports connected in this case to the passenger, or left, side of this radiator.  Those ports are the auto transmission or TOC connectors.
