Aluminum tanks are TIG welded to the core to provide the strongest possible bond and has a 1.375 inch inlet and outlet. The tubes are space 3/8" apart, on center. With 3/8" centers we are able to put more rows of tubes, fins, and coolant volume in the core as well as create more surface area for air to travel over' allowing for greater heat dissipation.<br> <br>The original radiator cap will NOT fit the radiator neck on this new performance unit. The filler neck is built to SAE standards and fits SAE radiator caps. If you do not have a radiator cap that is built to a current SAE spec (similar to GM, Ford, Chrysler) you may want to consider adding one of the caps that we recommend down below in our "Related Items" section.<br>
